The original bronze figure was discovered at La Bastida de les Alcusses, near Moixent (Valencia, Spain), one of the most important Iberian settlements ever excavated.

Dating from approximately the 5th–4th century BC, the sculpture depicts an Iberian mounted warrior wearing an impressive helmet while carrying his military equipment, reflecting the social importance and military traditions of the Iberian aristocracy.

Today, the original sculpture is preserved at the Museum of Prehistory of Valencia, where it remains one of the finest surviving symbols of Iberian civilization.
