Own the Complete Legend
Some sculptures are admired.
Others become legends.
This exclusive collector’s set unites the two most celebrated depictions of Lucifer ever created by the Belgian sculptor brothers Joseph Geefs and Guillaume Geefs.
One masterpiece was removed from a cathedral because it was considered too beautiful, too captivating and too human.
The other replaced it and became one of the greatest masterpieces of Romantic sculpture.
Together they tell one of the most fascinating stories in European art.
This collection is far more than two sculptures.
It is the complete artistic vision of the Geefs brothers, presented together for collectors who appreciate history, symbolism and exceptional craftsmanship.
Why This Set Is Unique
Unlike purchasing each sculpture individually, this exclusive collector’s bundle allows you to own both masterpieces together while enjoying a special bundle price.
Whether displayed in a private collection, library, office, museum, gallery or luxury interior, these two masterpieces create one of the most spectacular artistic displays ever inspired by the legend of Lucifer.
✔ Better value than purchasing each sculpture separately.
✔ Exclusive collector’s bundle.
✔ The complete Geefs Collection in one purchase.
✔ Available only as an exclusive set.
The Story Behind the Two Lucifers
In 1837, Saint Paul’s Cathedral in Liège, Belgium, commissioned Belgian sculptor Joseph Geefs to create a monumental sculpture representing Lucifer.
The result was L’Ange du Mal (The Angel of Evil).
Its extraordinary beauty, elegance and almost human perfection caused immediate controversy.
Church authorities believed the sculpture inspired admiration rather than spiritual reflection and ultimately decided to remove it from the cathedral.
The commission was then entrusted to Joseph’s older brother, Guillaume Geefs, who created Le Génie du Mal (The Genius of Evil) in 1848.
His interpretation portrayed Lucifer with greater restraint while preserving all the dignity and tragedy of the fallen angel.
This second version remains inside Saint Paul’s Cathedral to this day.
Together these two masterpieces tell one of the most extraordinary artistic stories ever created.
One became the forbidden Lucifer.
The other became the Lucifer that replaced it.
Owning both means owning the complete legend.
