How do we make the sculptures?
At Ancestral Sculptures, we have a multidisciplinary team that includes highly skilled and experienced 3D creative designers, historians, and restoration artists. The process of carrying out our work is as follows

Preparation of 3d models
For the realization of the sculptures, the only way that exists to be able to make an exact replica of the original and not a copy, is to work from the 3d model made from the 3d scan made to the piece. original in the museum or in the place where the work is located.

base model production
Once we have this modified file we start working with it.
We produce the base of the piece with state-of-the-art, high-resolution resin 3D printers. Once done, we do a post-processing of polishing, sanding, completing with several layers of high hardness epoxy resin.

postprocessing
Finally we give primer and paint it with textured paints. The final finish is the one you see in our products.
Sculptures from 0 to 25cm
For sculptures from 0 to 25cm we use the most modern 8k resin 3d printers. With them we can make details up to 0.1 mm thick so we can cover absolutely all the details of the original sculpture.
Sculptures from 25 cm onwards
For models larger than 45 cm, we use state-of-the-art, high-resolution 3D printers which work under the highest quality available today for 3D replication. Once the base model has been made, we work on sanding and polishing until it is of the highest quality so that all the details are perceived.
